Justin Benuska was born on the 21st of September 1918 in Velke Bielice. In 1942, he was ordained to be a Roman Catholic Priest. He worked with young people, organized cultural and sports events when he was a chaplain. It raised grudge of the Communist Party and its youth group organizations. In 1951, he was detained by a border guard while trying to cross the borders. He was imprisoned in Ilava and Mirov. He worked without any protective equipment during the grinding of uranium ore in Jachymov. He spent six years in Valdice pri Jicine. He was released in 1963. He could not return to the spiritual institution, therefore he worked as a driver and a worker. He did not enter Christian ministry until April 1968. He worked in several places. He spent ten years (1971-1981) in Sulov. He left a deep mark in the Parish thanks to his loving piety, honesty and diligence. He also wisely and sensitively focused on local church history, which was marked by negative and positive manifestations of coexistence of two Christian denominations. In 1990, Holy See granted him honorable title Monsignor; moreover, he was fully reintegrated. He was appointed to titular Kliz Abbot in 2006. He died on the 2nd of March in 2011 in Cifer. He is buried in Zaboreky nad Nitrou.
